Project Description – New build 16,500 sq. ft. high bay production facility with associated external works including car park/service yard re-modelling.
Role – We were appointed Main Contractor after a recommendation from the Contract Administrator, Mr. Raymond Angus of Angus Design Associates. We undertook to design certain elements of, manage and co-ordinate the construction works using both sub-contractors and our own direct labour.
The works involved the construction of a steel framed structure with single skin roof and wall cladding, concrete floor slab, steel roller shutter/personnel doors and an internal control room.
The construction of the new car park and concrete service yard areas together with new weighbridge installation were some of the most important elements of the project as they required to be built with minimum disruption to the ongoing operation of the Client’s manufacturing business. This was achieved due to carefully managed phasing/programming, close site supervision of the works, close communication with the Client’s operational staff and scheduling of deliveries.
